- Your care is NHS-funded if you’re eligible

- Urgent eye problems are dealt with promptly and safely
Carrick Eyecare is an approved NI PEARS provider.
When Should I Use NI PEARS?
You should contact us through NI PEARS if you have sudden eye symptoms, such as:
- A red or painful eye
- Sudden blurred or reduced vision
- Flashes of light or new floaters
- Eye infections or inflammation
- Something in your eye
- Eye injury or swelling
- Sensitivity to light or severe discomfort
If something doesn’t feel right, it’s always better to check.

What Will Happen When I Contact You?
Book appointment
Call us or book online, telling us your symptoms. If it’s urgent, we’ll make sure you’re seen as quickly as possible.
Triage
We will assess your symptoms to understand how urgent they are to decide the right care for you.
Examination
You’ll be seen for a careful eye assessment. Everything is explained clearly, with time for questions and reassurance.
Treatment
Where possible, treatment is provided on the day. We’ll arrange follow-up care or referral if necessary.
